The United States of AL is an American telecom sitcom starring an Indian actor Adhir Kalyan in the title role as AL. The series is being aired on CBS (American commercial broadcast television and radio network), which gave a series order for the television pilot of the same name.
The show revolves around the friendship between an Afghanisthan interpreter, Awalmir (Al), and a combat veteran Riley whom AL helps during his service in the Marines. Al moves to Columbus, Ohio, moves in with Riley, and meets his father, Art. Al realizes that Riley is going through a divorce with his wife and tries to help his friend Riley get better in all aspects of his life. The show takes turns with Al deciding to get Riley and his wife together.
The United States of AL: Season 2 Release Date
Though the show faced some criticism regarding the casting as the South African born Indian actor is being used in the role of Afghanistani interpreter and other elements, the show has attracted a considerable level of the audience, and the executive producer of the show, Chuck Lorre, has an excellent record with his sitcoms. All of them have had long runs.
Though CBS has not yet renewed the series for the second season, despite the talks for the series being canceled, we may get an update soon, and as soon as we have it, we will let you have it. Till then, let’s just all hope together for the next one.
