Superstar Will Smith’s home was reportedly on fire Monday as fire trucks and an ambulance were seen going into the Men In Black movie star’s $42million (£30m) home in Malibu.
A spokesperson for LA County Fire confirmed on Tuesday that “a structure fire had caused smoke damage” at the address.
An LAFD spokesperson said: “The fire was put out quickly yesterday. It was out on arrival.
“Nobody was transported to the hospital, there were no injuries and no medical attention. It’s a very large home. They completed the overhaul in 45 minutes.”
Video footage from the sprawling estate on Cold Canyon Road showed an ambulance with flashing lights entering just after 3:30pm, followed by several other cars and a utility vehicle.
A witness said a fire broke out somewhere on one of the properties, causing extensive smoke damage.
According to the fire official, no injuries were reported despite the presence of an ambulance.
It was not clear exactly where the fire was located at the 150-acre property, with reports saying that the fire was already out by the time fire crews arrived
An insider told Page Six that Will and Jada are “doing fine” since the house fire.
“They are all fine and in the home,” they said.
“A fire broke out in the basement, and a fireman was treated, but everyone is fine,” Page Six exclusively received information from a source close enough to the family.
The couple, who celebrated Jada’s 50th birthday over the weekend with a roller-skating party, are reported to have purchased several neighbouring properties and turned them into one enormous estate.
The entire project, which covers over 25,000 square foot of living space, took seven years.
Will’s estate boasts nine bedrooms, a home theater, a pool, an eight-car garage, basketball, tennis and volleyball courts and a sunken trampoline.
The lavish compound was featured by Architectural Digest in 2011, two year before the celebrity couple sold it for $42million. But the couple decided not to sell the property.
Their son Jaden, 23, lives nearby at the couple’s Hidden Hills home. Their daughter Willow, 20, lives in Malibu on an oceanfront property.
The 52-year-old “Fresh Prince of Bel-Aire” star had been forced to evacuate the property in November 2018 as it came under threat from the Woolsey wildfire.
Smith’s family and reps did not comment on the cause of the fire, or how it was treated.
