Some of the demands of the RTC workers include the merger of RTC into the government, recruitment process of the various posts, pay scale revisions and removal of taxes on gas and diesel. The Telangana government has come up with a committee with senior IAS officers to check with the demands given by the RTC workers.

The three-member panel headed by IAS officer Somesh Kumar and the chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao also appealed to the RTC employees to stop the strike on October 5th and told them that they will discuss the demands. Meanwhile, private school and college drivers are being paid 1500 per day. Private conductors are also appointed and they will be paid 1000rs per day.

At the meeting that was carried out on October 1st, the Cabinet has appointed subcommittees on medical, health, rural sanitization, resource mobilization, urban sanitation, greenery, agriculture, poultry and welfare to monitor the programs. There is a chance that the TSRTC employees will call off the strike if the government comes up with a plan to address their concerns and demands.
