Tottenham boss Nuno Espirito Santo insists he would not even consider swapping Harry Kane for Chelsea hot shot Romelu Lukaku.
Lukaku is the Premier League’s most dangerous marksman. However, Kane has struggled to get off to a good start after his move to Manchester City.
The 28-year old is still without an assist in the Premier League this term. This has made it difficult for him to compete for the Golden Boot, given his rival’s resurgence at Stamford Bridge.
After a thrilling return to west London, Lukaku scored three goals in three games. This puts him in joint-third place with five other top scorers in the race to become the division’s highest scorer.
Nuno, though, isn’t concerned by Kane’s lack of goals, and is glad to have Kane in his team instead of Lukaku.
Speaking ahead of the London derby between the two sides on Sunday, the Spurs boss said: “I don’t even consider that option because it’s something that I don’t think about – for me, it doesn’t make sense. Harry is an amazing player.”
Nuno praised Kane’s ability and attitude after the England captain failed to force through a move to the Etihad earlier this summer.
He added: “I have been impressed with his quality and talent.
Who do you think is the better striker; Romelu Lukaku or Harry Kane? Let us know in the comments section.
“I think he still can improve. We are in that process of trying to find the best levels of fitness. But his dedication has been huge.”
Kane is available for Sunday’s clash, but Nuno has problems elsewhere.
The match will be canceled because of injuries to Son Heung-min, Eric Dier, Ryan Sessegnon and Eric Dier, the striker.
Steven Bergwijn, Lucas Moura and Lucas Moura are also in doubt after they sustained injuries during Tottenham’s 2-2 Europa Conference League draw against Rennes.

There is good news for the Portuguese boss, with Giovani Ló Celso, Cristian Romero, and Davinson Sánchez all scheduled to return.
The trio trained in Croatia, where they were self-isolating after having traveled to South America on international duty.
Nuno said: “They arrive back Saturday and will have a training session in the afternoon. If they are available and fit, they will be in the squad.
“They are working hard in Croatia with the sports science department. They will be evaluated properly.
