The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 4: Release date, cast and plot


Prime Video gave us an early present shortly after the third season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel premiered by announcing that the series had been renewed for a fourth season. The fourth season was scheduled to begin production in late spring 2020, but it was postponed due to the pandemic. It finally started in early 2021 and wrapped filming in late summer.

In addition to Kelly Bishop, Jason Alexander, and Milo Ventimiglia joining The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel cast in as-yet-undisclosed roles, director John Waters (Hairspray) has been spotted on set in an unnamed guest role.
In the series, Marin Hinkle plays Midge’s mother Rose Weissman, and Tony Shalhoub plays her father Abe Weissman.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is set in the late 1950s/early 1960s New York. It stars Rachel Brosnahan as housewife Miriam “Midge” Maisel, an upper-class Jewish American woman who learns that she can tell a joke pretty well, and pursues a career in stand-up comedy with the help of a manager Susie (Borstein). Weathering the jealousies of mediocre men and the pitfalls of the show business industry, Midge spends the first few seasons finding herself and committing to a stand-up career, despite a lack of support from many in her life.

The footage sees Midge and Susie discussing the next steps in her career after the drama with Shy Baldwin.

It only took two years but Amazon has officially announced the season four release date. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel will drop on Prime on February 18, 2022. With a total of eight episodes, two episodes will drop each Friday over the course of four weeks.
