The Flash Season 8: What’s The Official Release Date, Cast Lineup, Plot & More


In The Flash Season 8, planet Earth is under mysterious circumstances threatened by a powerful alien. Barry, Iris and the members of Team Flash will be “pushed to the limit in a desperate battle to save the world.” The synopsis reveals that the fate of humanity is at stake and time is running out. Moreover, in these tiring times, Flash will need the help of its old companies “if the good forces are to prevail”.

The Flash Season 8 Cast: Who’s Coming, Who’s Leaving?

Season 8 of The flash will be the first to move on without Cisco Roman aka Vibe, played by Carlos Valdes. From the very beginning of the show, he was Barry Allen’s closest companion and a professor at STAR Labs. Season 7 is the last in which he will appear. He officially left the show after episode 12, “Good-Bye Vibrations,” which aired on June 8, 2021. However, he returned for the final two episodes.


Apart from him, Tom Cavanagh also left the show after episode 3, “Mother”, which aired on March 16, 2021. He played several different characters including Eobard Thawne, Reverse-Flash and Harrison Wells.

Season 8’s cast will likely see all the main characters return to reprise their former roles. These include Barry, Iris, Eddie and others. Also, Jesse L. Martin and Danielle Panabaker are in negotiations to return. Martin plays Joe West, the father of Iris and Wally West and the father figure of Barry. Panabaker plays Caitlin Snow, aka Killer Frost, a highly intelligent bioengineering expert.

During Armageddon (Crossover Event), it was revealed that the next season will feature some super-powered guest stars. The Team Flash adds Javicia Leslie as Batwoman, Brandon Routh as The Atom, Kat McNamara as Mia Queen, Cress Williams as Black Lightning, Osric Chau as Ryan Choi, and Chyler Leigh as Sentinel.

Where can you watch The Flash season 8?

The flash is The CW’s exclusive show in the United States. A new episode airs every Tuesday night at 8 p.m. ET. If you want to watch The Flash Season 7, you can tune in to The CW Network when it premieres.

If you can’t watch the episode on TV, you can also watch it on The CW’s official website. You can stream the episode the next day on the CW app. The new episodes will be available to stream on live TV streaming services such as Xfinity, DirecTV, Fubo TV, Youtube TV, Hulu Live TV and Apple TV.

New episodes will be available on Netflix the next day, but in some select regions, including India. Netflix users in the United States will have to wait for The Flash Season 8 to arrive on Netflix. It will air on the streamer 8 days after the season finale on The CW. The first seven seasons of ‘The Flash’ are now on Netflix.
