Strictly Come Dancing’s Greg Wise has got his work cut out with professional partner Karen Hauer, as he said she “bit” him during training.
The 55-year-old actor joked about his treatment during The One Show. Karen asked him to keep quiet.
“She has gaffer taped me to a broom handle and bitten me!” He exclaimed.
Alex Jones congratulated them on their group dance and he laughed: “I haven’t done anything yet!”
Karen has also persuaded the actor to sign up to Instagram, and has been giving him a crash course on how to use the app with a series of posts and videos.
In their first Instagram story, Greg was seen posing thinking it was a picture, as Karen laughed that it was a video.
On Saturday night’s first show, the Sense & Sensibility star revealed he is notoriously clumsy and prone to injury.
He clearly knew what he was warning about, since he had already injured himself in rehearsals on the first day.
He announced: “I have a sore calf from hopping. I’ve got tape on it, and ice.”
“What’s more important, this is my first ever posting with Mrs Lovely here,” he joked on Instagram.
Lying flat on his back on the floor of the dance studio, he sighed: “Look, she’s done this to me. I used to be young and lovely and not a completely sweaty mess.”
“Oh look, she’s so fresh… look at me. She has destroyed me. The very fabric of my being.”
Greg also posted his first selfie on Instagram too, mid-way through rehearsals.
Wearing a grey vest, he frowned at the camera and captioned the snap: “Utterly destroyed. I turned up today a dashing, virile 55-year-old.
“I leave a broken, stooped and limping corpse.”
His fans rallied to support him in the comments section. One said: “I can’t wait for you to see Karen and me on Saturday!
“You can do it Greg! So many of us are rooting for you and Karen is a fantastic teacher,” reassured a second.
Another added: “It’s the Strictly effect! Slowly getting used to this social media lark then?”
Viewers will have to wait to see if the pain was worth it.
