Streaming service Apple TV+ is bringing a new thriller television series titled Severance. Created by Dan Erickson, the first season of the show will be released on February 18, 2022.

The brand new series will consist of 9 episodes. All the 9 episodes are being helmed by two directors, Ben Stiller and Aioife McArdle. Three of the episodes are written by Dan Erickson and the others are written by Andrew Colville, Kari Drake, Anna Ouyang Moench, Amanda Overton, Helen Leigh, and Chris Black.

Severance: Release Date and Plot

The makers have announced that Severance will release on February 18, 2022, on Apple tv+, with the first two episodes being released initially. The rest of the episodes will be released on a weekly basis.

The first episode of the show is expected to release at Midnight Eastern on February 18 and at 9 p.m. Pacific on February 17. The series is going to have a very unique concept, which will keep the audience engaged.

Adam Scott will play the lead role in Severance

Severance will follow a middle-aged man named Mark Scout, who is the supervisor of a team at Lumon Industries. The workplace is a mysterious site that encourages employees to volunteer a severance procedure, dividing their memories into two parts – professional lives and personal lives.

However, this sociological experiment also comes with its own consequences just like the other sci-fi thrillers. Mark eventually pays the price as his existence starts to unravel while his own reality and identity are questioned.
