  • You need to have your mobile number and email address.

How to register for SBI Internet Banking?

This step is only available for retail customers, as all other customers will receive a Pre-Printed Kit containing their Internet Banking login credentials. Those with a PPK can use the given login credentials to access their net banking account directly. If you do not have a PPK, contact your nearest bank to get further assistance.

For users who want to register for SBI Internet Banking, ensured you have the required details and follow these steps carefully:

  1. Visit the SBI Online homepage at https://www.onlinesbi.com/.
  2. In the personal banking section, click on the ‘New User Registration’ option.
  3. A pop-up screen will appear with instructions on it. If you qualify for the instructions, proceed by clicking on ‘OK.’
  4. A new window will open where you have to select either ‘New User Registration’ or ‘Activation of Username.’ Click on the appropriate option and select ‘Next.’
  5. On the New User Registration page, enter the required details such as:
          • Account number
          • CIF number
          • Branch code
          • Country
          • Registered mobile number
          • Facility required
  6. At last, enter the text provided and click on ‘Submit.
  7. If the username is activated, you have to provide your temporary username, CIF number, and date of birth. Every other step is the same.
  8. On the next page, enter the OTP code sent to your mobile number and click on ‘Confirm.’
  9. On the next page, to complete your registration, you will then be prompted to select either ‘I have my ATM card’ or ‘ I do not have my ATM card.’ Click on ‘Submit.’
  10. If you select ‘I have my ATM card,’ enter all the details present on your ATM card. Your e-registration form will be digitally submitted.
  11. If you select ‘I do not have my ATM card,’ you need to note your customer identification number, download and submit your registration form to the nearest SBI bank. (You will get the registration form after the password registration process)
  12. The next step is setting a new password. Create your login credentials, which you will use for logging in to your SBI internet banking account.
  13. Click on ‘Submit’ to create your SBI internet banking account.

For users who do not have an ATM card, ensure that you download your registration form, print it out, submit a physical copy to the nearest SBI branch and validate your account.

How to log in to your SBI Internet Banking account?

Once you have registered for a new SBI online account, you can use those login credentials to access it. For those who received a Pre-Printed Kit (PPK), the login credentials to your account will be already given in the form, and you can use these to log in to your account. Here’s how to login to your SBI internet banking account:

  1. Visit the SBI Internet Banking portal at https://www.onlinesbi.com/.
  2. Click on the ‘Login’ option.
  3. On the next page, click on the ‘Continue to Login’ button after reading the Terms & Conditions.
  4. Enter your SBI net banking username and password.
  5. Enter the CAPTCHA.
  6. Click on ‘Login’ to access your SBI internet banking account.

What to do if you have forgotten your SBI Login Username / Password?

Always remember that it is important to keep your login credentials in a safe and accessible place where only you can avail of those details. Ensure that your login credentials do not fall into the wrong hands, as your online banking account may contain much personal financial information. Also, beware of fraudulent phone calls and spam emails.

However, if you have forgotten your password, you can reset your account password through the SBI Login portal. Here’s how:

  • Forgot Username?
      1. To retrieve your SBI internet banking username, visit the SBI Internet Banking portal.
      2. Click on the ‘Login’ option.
      3. On the next page, click on the ‘Continue to Login’ button after reading the Terms & Conditions.
      4. On the SBI Login page, click on the ‘Forgot Login Password’ option.
      5. Select the ‘Forgot Username’ option and click ‘Next.
      6. Enter your CIF Number, Country, and Registered Mobile Number.
      7. Complete the CAPTCHA and click on ‘Submit.
      8. You will need to enter the OTP code to verify. After verification, you will be able to retrieve your username.
  • Forgot Password? 
      1. To reset your SBI internet banking password, visit the SBI Internet Banking portal.
      2. Click on the ‘Login’ option.
      3. On the next page, click on the ‘Continue to Login’ button after reading the Terms & Conditions.
      4. On the SBI Login page, click on the ‘Forgot Login Password’ option.
      5. Select the ‘Forgot My Login Password’ option and click ‘Next.
      6. Enter your Username, Account Number, Country, Mobile Number, and Date of Birth.
      7. Complete the CAPTCHA and click on ‘Submit.’
      8. You will need to enter the OTP code to verify. After verification, you will be able to reset your password.
