Gal Gadot is coming Wonder Woman 3 will not start shooting until 2023.
The DC Extended Universe is expanding with people like The Batman, the Flash, and black Adam, but the one project we’re most looking forward to is Patty Jenkins’ sequel to Wonder woman 3. Officially confirmed at this year’s DC FanDome, the upcoming film is in the early stages of production, but it looks like Gal Gadot won’t be returning as the Amazon warrior until 2023. Why? Planning problems.
In an update on the Cleopatra movie starring Gal Gadot, Deadline’s Justin Kroll revealed that Patty Jenkins is no longer attached to directing the historical epic. Instead, Jenkins will join the film as a producer. While this frees up the director’s schedule, Gadot’s is still overcrowded. In 2022, Gadot will film her scenes as the Evil Queen in Disney’s live-action snow white.
Patty Jenkins’s schedule seems to have cleared up considerably given her Star Wars movie Rogue Squadron seems to have been postponed indefinitely. It remains to be seen when Wonder Woman 3 will officially begin production, as word from Warner Bros. hasn’t come in yet.
