Dwayne Johnson leads the team as Krypto the Superdog in the first trailer of Warner Bros’ upcoming animated movie, DC League of Super Pets.
Dwayne Johnson’s highly anticipated Black Adam movie is still a long way off, but the actor has at least one other superhero role to hold us back. That role will be played by Superman’s dog, Krypto the Superdog in DC League of Super Pets. In the various comics, Krypto is usually depicted as Superman’s dog and another creature that survived Krypton’s explosion with similar powers to the Man of Steel.
In May, it was revealed that Dwayne Johnson would voice Krypto the Superdog in DC League Of Super Pets. Later that summer, Keanu Reeves and Kevin Hart also participated in the film. Earlier today, the first trailer for the film was released, which shows Dwayne Johnson’s Krypto trying to lead a group of animal heroes:

In “DC League of Super-Pets”, Krypto the Super-Dog and Superman are inseparable best friends, sharing the same superpowers and fighting crime side by side in Metropolis. When Superman and the rest of the Justice League are kidnapped, Krypto must convince an unhinged shelter pack—Ace the dog, PB the pot-bellied pig, Merton the turtle, and Chip the squirrel—to master their own newfound powers and help him superheroes.
Directed by Jared Stern and Sam Levine, DC League of Super Pets featuring the voice talents of Dwayne Johnson, John Krasinski, Kevin Heart, Kate McKinnon, Vanessa Bayer, Natasha Lyonne, Diego Luna, Marc Maron, Thomas Middleditch, Ben Schwartz and Keanu Reeves. The film is currently released on May 20, 2022.
