Coronation Street’s Zeedan Nazir had to explain all of the real reasons and his lies on Wednesday night’s show to prevent his family going to the police as they feared for his safety.
After three years of being away, Zeedan returned to Corrie. However, it quickly became apparent that he was hiding information from his sister Alya as well as grandmother Yasmeen.
He was beat up and put on the streets, so it quickly became apparent that he was in trouble.
Zeedan originally said Ryan Connor was the one who beat him up. However, he later changed his mind and admitted that he did not know who attacked him.
However, this didn’t stop the truth from coming out as well as the other things he had been keeping from his family.
Although it appeared that he was returning for a new start, it seemed that he was trying to avoid something.
Zeedan claimed that his ex-wife Mariam’s father was not happy about him breaking up with his daughter. This is why he threatened him.
As well as making weird phone calls, his father-in-law also threatened that he was going to kill him – with his sons, Mariam’s brothers, behind the brutal assault.
The truth was revealed in Wednesday’s episodes.
Zeedan’s family feared for his life and called the police to check he was safe. But he had no choice but to tell them to stop and then explain why.
Alya was told by Zeedan that he had an affair with his wife and that his family had discovered his infidelity.
Alya told him that he was convinced that his marriage was over after he had cheated.
His cheating was soon revealed to Yasmeen, his grandmother. Yasmeen was furious at her grandson and refused to accept his offer to save their family business.
Alya had been targeted by scammers who had drained the Speed Daal business bank account.
Initially she accepted £50,000 but soon rejected it after being suspicious.
Yasmeen eventually stopped Zeedan’s departure and told Mariam that if Mariam and her family threatened his life again, she would have had to report to the police.
The end of Zeedan’s harassment is unknown. However, it is possible that the story will continue.
Coronation Street is on ITV Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 8:30pm and 7:30pm respectively.
