The spin-off to Breaking Bad has been renewed for a fifth season even though Better Call Saul had been dealing with a decline in ratings. However, despite all that, AMC has been kind enough to consider another season for the series. To be honest, the fourth season of Better Call Saul was not that disappointing and since its finale, fans have been speculating over Season 5 – when it will release, what the plot will look like, who will constitute the cast and all such gimmicky concerns. Word has it that the production team behind the series has already started working on the fifth season so here is everything you need to know about what’s coming up.
Better Call Saul Season 5 Plot:
While the sequential storyline is yet to be revealed in entirety, sources say the fifth season will pick up from where the last one ended. With Jimmy’s revelation to Kim serving as an emotional roller coaster for fans, audiences can expect to see what unfolds after that. Many fans are predicting that the duo might face some problems since Jimmy’s transformation into Saul is yet to happen – something that might not go down well with Kim. We can even expect Jimmy leaving Kim as he is extremely career driven and can do whatever it takes for his professional success. Apart from their relationship status being of keen interest in the upcoming season, there will be equal focus on Saul Goodman and Mike’s respective transformations.
Better Call Saul Season 5 Cast:
While the official cast is yet to be revealed, the expected cast is as follows:
• Jimmy McGill being played by Bob Odenkirk
• Mike Ehrmantraur being played by Jonathan Banks
• Kim Wexler being played by Rhea Seehorn
• Howard Hamlin being played by Patrick Fabian
• Nacho Varga being played by Michael Mamdo
• Gustavo ‘Gus’ Fring being played by Giancarlo Esposito
• Hector Salamanca being played by Mark Margolis
Better Call Saul Season 5 Release Date:
The fifth season of Better Call Saul will be shot in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was supposed to have started in April 2019. While the series was renewed for a new season in August last year, according to the new schedule, Season 5 is expected to be released by the end of this year or in early 2020. We recently heard AMC president Sarah Barnett announce how the show is driven by talent and the production team would not want to hurry with the season’s release or compromise with the end result just to match a preconceived deadline. In all possibility, the delay is due to the upcoming Breaking Bad film.
Better Call Saul Season 5 Trivia:
There is some heartbreaking news for the fans of the show because Kim might be killed off eventually. Since Kim was not part of the original Breaking Bad crew, something unfortunate might happen to her in this season. This is all the more probable because a chunk of the fifth season is expected to revolve around Kim and Jimmy’s relationship. In the official statement, which came out in October last year, we even heard Peter Gould say he would be very sorry if something terrible happened to her and he was unsure whether Kim would be seen at all in the sixth season.
