The Witcher, a well-known show, is a Polish-American fantasy drama streaming television series. It is created by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, which is based on the book series of the same name by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski.
The show’s storyline is set on a fictional, medieval-inspired landmass known as “the Continent.” The serious finds the legend of Geralt of Rivia and Princess Ciri, who are connected by the magic of destiny.
The first season had eight episodes. That complete series released on Netflix on 20th December 2019, and with that, it was also released that soon- next season shall also becoming!
Season 2 Updates?
As per the statements by an old AMA with showrunner Lauren Hissrich, the next season of the wither will come in 2021. However, there is no specific date as of now.
The shooting for the show had been delayed due to Covid-19, but now that it has almost finished working on it, it is likely to come in the late months of 2021. However, to clarify, the release date is not confirmed as of yet.
Casting
In the second season, the fans will see the story of Geralt of Rivia, Yennefer, and Cirilla.
The confirmed cast details are Henry Cavill coming back as Geralt of Rivia, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, and Freya Allan as Ciri.
And besides that, you will also see some new people joining the Witcher family as the cast:
Anna Shaffer as Triss, Joey Batey as Jaskier, Eamon Farren as Cahir, MyAnna Buring as Tissaia, Stregobor by Lars Mikkelso, Artorius by Terence Maynard, Filavandrel by Tom, Lilly as Canton Murta, Therica Wilson as CooperSabrin, Jeremy Crawford as reading Yarpen Zigrin, and Istredd will be played by Royce Pierreson, among others, in the show The Witcher.
