In 2016, Donald Glover and his partner Michelle White welcomed their first baby together. The actor is notoriously private about his personal life, and at the time White was described as “his unidentified partner,” per Us Weekly. More information was revealed about her by the time the couple were ready to welcome their second child.
While accepting his Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor for his work on “Atlanta” in 2017, Glover gushed over White. “I want to thank Michelle, my partner, you love me even how crazy I get,” he said (via Us Weekly). Glover also used the opportunity to announce their second child was on the way. “I want to thank my unborn son, we’re listening to Stevie [Wonder] tonight.” When Glover received more hardware for “Atlanta” at the Golden Globes, he once again thanked his supportive partner. “I really want to say thank you to my son and the mother of my son for making me believe in people again and things being possible,” the actor said, per Hollywood Life.
Glover has somehow managed a successful career in acting, directing, and music, plus he juggles that while being a father. According to the “Solo: A Star Wars Story” star, it is White who does the heavy lifting at home. “My partner, she does all the hard stuff to be honest,” Glover told Us Weekly in 2018 when asked about parenthood. “I haven’t really had to change anything,” he added.
