He gave thanks to MGM and History Network for letting him work with them and being able to shoot six seasons with 89 episodes. He said he felt he had done. The final episode sooting had ended in last year November itself. As the saga with the story of  Ragnar and his sons is told to the fullest extent there is no reason for him to continue.

More of what expectant audience would like to know.

When will Vikings Season 6 air?

The airing date of season 6 has not been officially announced yet. As the earlier releasing times of Vikings has been totally random and no pattern had been followed. Only season 2,3 and 4 premiered on February 2014, 2015 and 2016 respectively. Season 5 had moved back to November 2017. As this year is almost at its close and the next season is already shot and ready to premiere we can expect it after November this year.

Vikings Season 6 Cast. Who will return?

The showrunner had already said there would be a lot of killing offs (“significant deaths” to be specific) in the last season which was not a surprise for the Vikings fans. And the death of Freydis (Alicia Agneson) was one of them. But it seems like she is set to return on next season. She was expected to be dead as she had been strangled by her own husband Ivar the Boneless (Alex Høgh Andersen).

As Katheryn Winnick was all equipped to go behind the camera to direct one of the episodes the Audience did cheer for her. Yet they were worried if she won’t act in the next season. And she had already signed up with Netflix for  Wu Assassins. But she will be back too.

Is trailer out yet?
