The south superstar, Vijay Sethupathi, has announced that his next project, Merry Christmas, is rescheduled due to the pandemic. Merry Christmas, featuring the superstar Vijay Sethupathi and the Bollywood queen, Katrina Kaif, is postponed due to the second wave of the covid pandemic.
The shooting schedule was supposed to have started much earlier. However, the covid-19 made the makers turn their decisions. Although some fake rumors were floating around the Internet on the revival of the shooting of Merry Christmas, the Chennai Times, through its Twitter handle, has officially confirmed the reschedule of the movie indefinitely.
Katrina Kaif’s Covid-19 Diagnosis Caused The Delay
As per the earlier announcements from the makers, the cast was all set to kick-start shooting in early April. The fans are eagerly waiting for Sriram Raghavan’s upcoming movie, Merry Christmas, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif. And the production team, too, was working hard to complete the shooting process as early as possible.
However, the covid-19 diagnosis of Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif left the makers with no other option than to postpone the shoot. On the other hand, Vijay Sethupathi has a massive lineup of movies coming up, making it pretty challenging to reschedule the shooting dates.
Although Katrina Kaif has completely recovered now, the ongoing situations and government restrictions are turning out to be a major hurdle in shooting for Merry Christmas. So the fans need to wait a bit till an official statement is released by the makers.
