Upcoming Movies In 2022 – Release Details!!

Chastain came up with the idea for a woman-led spy movie while working on X-Men movie Dark Phoenix with director Simon Kinberg, who is now at the helm of this action player. But this is not just pure fantasy. The codename “355” is steeped in real history as it refers to the still unidentified female spy who helped the patriots during the American Revolution. She was a crucial member of the Culper Ring, the spy network responsible for stealing information from the British Army headquarters in New York. Shall the 355 all somehow traced back to 1776? The film’s star-studded cast also includes Lupita Nyong’o, Diane Kruger, Bingbing Fan, and Penelope Cruz. Sebastian Stan and Edgar Ramirez also star.

Scream (2022) - IMDb

Even though it just has a title scream, this will actually be the fifth installment in the cult horror series created by the late great Wes Craven. Fortunately, this series has matured like fine wine. 25 years after the first Ghostface murders, a new killer has donned the mask to stalk the town of Woodsboro, and a brand new cast of teens played by Melissa Barrera, Mason Gooding, Jenna Ortega, Mikey Madison, Dylan Minnette, Sonia Ammar, and Jasmin Savoy Brown. Thankfully, this time around, the kids have three Ghostface fighters by their side: Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette return as Sidney, Gale, and Dewey, respectively.

As Sidney says in the movie’s trailer, the three heroes will stop at nothing to catch this new Ghostface, but not all the kids will make it out alive.

Although this is the first scream film not directed by Craven himself (director passed away in 2015), original scream writer Kevin Williamson, who also wrote I know what you did last summer, is on board as an executive producer, while Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett take on directing duties. The two have a lot of street cred when it comes to horror. After all, they are two of the filmmakers behind fan-favorite shockers F/H/S and Ready or not. Judging by what we’ve seen so far, you’re expecting a lot from the classic franchise scare, but also a few modern twists akin to the recent ones. Halloween.
