The Umbrella Academy is one of the most successful superhero stories currently running on NetFlix. This is the sole reason for the renewal for a second season of the series which gave a lot of social media mentions for NetFlix.
This was of course anticipated by showrunner Steve Blackman which is evident from the sort of “cliff-hanger” way he ended the final episode of the first season. All the kids were dispersed to the past world by the expense of Pogo. This left both the fans and the cast members desperate to know more of the story.
Actors like Ellen Page, Robert Sheehan, expressed their interest to know more about what happens to their respective characters as Vanya and Klaus Hargreeves after the events in the series. Robert further described his character as a butterfly, which transforms into a new self completely. Not yet. As of recent reports, the shooting of season 2 is set to begin soon this summer in Toronto.
What about the cast of Umbrella Academy season 2?
The whole Hargreeves cast will return for another run. As it is evident from the final season they had gone back in time. So the only question remaining is how much will we get to see them as most probably they might be kids. Even though Reginald Hargreeves (Colm Feore), Pogo, and Cha-Cha (Mary J. Blige) are dead, the inclusion of time travel could resurrect them.
What will be the storyline?
As Umbrella Academy series has used up almost all of the comic’s “Apocalypse Suite,” and part of the second one “Dallas”, the season 2 will be more of the ‘Dallas’.
