Is The One Renewed For A Season 2?
Though the novel written by John Marrs doesn’t have a sequel, he stated that he had given full rights to the team and could make whatever changes they want. This indeed makes it easier for Netflix to come up with a Season 2.
Neither Netflix nor the show’s makers announced anything about the next season, but the critical acclamation of the series shows that it’s possible. The Show stood in the top 10 for over a week straight, explaining how much the show would have interested the viewers.

Even if the show is renewed due to the slowed processes(no thanks to the pandemic) of production and the first season premiering as late as March, we could expect the next season to come before us no sooner than 2022.
