The Gray Man Netflix Release Date, Star Cast, Story, Trailer


The National Film Awardee Tamil star Dhanush was recently seen in the digital platform Disney+Hotstar with romantic drama film Atrangi Re starring alongside Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan got mixed to negative reviews, critics praised Dhanush’s acting but criticized the screenplay, in particular the climax.

However, the actor will next be seen in a Hollywood action thriller The Gray Man, starring alongside The Notebook (2004) fame Ryan Gosling and the Avengers, and Captain America fame Chris Evans.

The Gray Man Release Date

From Jan 2021, the film’s shooting began in California, the U.S, filming also took place in Prague, and France and finally concluded in July 2021. It will be made available to the global audience by Netflix on 22 July 2022.

Recently the OTT platform unveiled some new stills of the film including south superstar Dhanush who is playing the character Guhan.

The Gray Man Budget

The Gray Man is a Netflix Film helmed by Russo Brothers who is known for directing the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Captain America series The Winter Soldier (2014), Civil War(2016), and Avengers film series Infinity War (2018), Endgame(2019). It is said to be Netflix’s one of the most high-priced films, with a production budget of 200 million dollars (in Indian Rupees Rs 1487 crores).


The Gray Man is a spy action thriller film which revolves around the veteran CIA spy Court Gentry(Ryan Gosling), the story steered from the time when his own agency double-crossed him and coerced him to become a renegade, later his former colleague(Chris Evans) is sent by CIA (Central Intelligent Agency) to hunt Gentry down.

Star Cast of The Gray Man

It Stars Ryan Gosling playing CIA Veteran Court Gentry, Chris Evans essaying CIA agent, and former colleague of Court as Lloyd Hansen, Indian actor Dhanush as Guhan, Spanish Actress Blade Runner 2049(2017) fame Ana De Armas as Dani Miranda in the main lead roles.

Other actors include Jessica Henwick, Wagner Moura, Julia Butlers (Claire Fitzroy), Billy Bob Thornton(Donald Fitzroy), Alfre Woodard (Maurice Cahill), Eme Ikwuakor (Mr. Felix), Robert Kazinsky(Perini), Rege-Jean Page, Callan Mulvey, Scott Haze, Sam Lerner, DeObia Oparei, Scott haze also featured in the film.

Director Joe Russo also co-wrote the screenplay along with Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, Ross Brother also bankrolled the film along with Joe Roth, Jeff Kirschenbaum, Mike Larocca, Chris Castaldi, and Palak Patel. It is made under the banner of AGBO and Roth/Kirschenbaum Films. Technical Crew includes Cinematographer Stephen F. Windon and Hennry Jackman gave the music.
