Falcon and the winter soldier is an American television series created for the streaming service Disney+. As we all know, it’s based on the Marvel comic characters Falcon(Sam Wilson) and Winter Soldier(Bucky Barnes). The series follows the MCU films (Marvel Cinematic Universe) franchise, and the events of the series occur after the movie Avengers: Endgame.
The 6-episode limited series first premiered on March 19, 2021, and runs until the 23rd of April. While the first season is still streaming online, Marvel fans, as always, are waiting for the next one.
Falcon and The Winter Soldier Season 2 Renewal Status
There is no official statement about the show’s renewal status, and the star from the show, Anthony Mackie, said that he hadn’t heard any news about the further expansion as well.
In an interview, the Marvel Studios head, Kevin Fiege, answered that he couldn’t give a definite yes or no because they looked at the television as the same as their movies. They do hope about part 2 and part 3 at the start of the film, but they don’t factor it into the first part. So, All we can do for now is to wait for the official update.
Does Falcon and The Winter Soldier have a future beyond Season 1?
Kevin Fiege explained in an interview how the passage of torch from one hero to another at the end of the movie Endgame gave a potential scope for this series; there are always elements in the MCU shows that pave the way for the next hero or the following season.
But it’s always debatable whether it would result in an extension of the series beyond the first part of it would eventually result in a new hero. So, for now, it’s unclear about the extension of the first series of the show.
