On February 4, 2022, Netflix will release the forthcoming comedy thriller starring Taapsee Pannu and Tahir Raj Bhasin, titled Loop Lapeta. The film looks to be an exciting trip through a difficult circumstance where a woman goes on a rescue mission for her boyfriend. As the story progresses, a series of events forces the lovers to make decisions that will shape their destiny.
“There’s no way to diminish the adrenaline of producing the first film, and Looop Lapeta has surpassed every bit of it,” director Aakash Bhatia said on the film’s release on Netflix. He is delighted with the form they have given it and revealed that it bravely skips genres, from comedy to suspense to romance, and takes fans on a rollercoaster experience.
Bhatia shared that this project’s success is due to a strong ensemble cast and staff. The director said that Sony Pictures’ creative associates, Kasbekar and Tanuj, made excellent producers, adding that he is overjoyed that the world will view Looop Lapeta on Netflix.
“I am happy to be a part of this next project with Netflix, especially with the film being such a broad genre,” said Taapsee Pannu, who plays Savi, who is on a mission to rescue her boyfriend.
The actor revealed that it was a lot of fun working on this intriguing story with her director, Aakash, and co-star, Tahir. She can’t wait for audiences and fans to see this thrilling film and enjoy it as much as they did making it.

He called the film a fresh perspective on new-age romance and a genre he was trying out first. Tahir can’t wait for the rest of the world to meet Satya and Savi, played by him and Taapsee, respectively. He shared that the director, Aakash, has a distinct flair that has resulted in a visually spectacular world where thrills and hilarity collide in one insane rollercoaster of a show.
Sony Pictures Films India, Ellipsis Entertainment, and Aayush Maheshwari produce the film. Aakash Bhatia’s directorial feature film debut is Looop Lapeta, a Bollywood remake of Tom Tykwer’s acclaimed cult classic Run Lola Run.
