Strictly Come Dancing’s Oti Mabusi set the bar high after she won the glitterball trophy last year with Bill Bailey, and she’s cracking the whip with this year’s partner Ugo Monye already.
Oti Mabusi, a 31-year-old dancing star, has been paired with Ugo Monye, a rugby player. The pair have shared videos from their first rehearsals on Facebook.
Ugo joked “I put someone through their paces today” as Oti was filmed lying on the floor.
She yelled indignantly: “You wish!”
Oti then mimicked him shouting “I can’t carry on anymore, I can’t carry on anymore!” in a whiny voice in the background.
Ugo turned the camera back on himself, revealing: “It’s been a long day. Sixteen hours!”
Oti parroted whatever he was saying: “It’s been a long day!”
“Sixteen hours! Strictly Come Dancing, A Question Of Sport, but we’re going home. Manchester to London,” exclaimed Ugo as Oti laughed in the background.
Oti then mocked his speaking style on camera.
She copied his presenting style telling viewers to watch the show but forgot to include the time.
Ugo, the rugby player, also shared an update from the second day’s rehearsals. In it, he was crawling across the floor face down like a snail. He captioned the video: “Rate my moves!”
“Flawless!” raved one fan.
“It’s looking like a really long week,” Another laughed.
One fan gave the iconic Strictly “sevvvvveeeeeeen” out of ten.
“It’s the tired caterpillar,” Another.
His moves will improve in the weeks ahead of this weekend’s live performance, according to his fans.
Oti will need to be more bossy with Ugo to get him dancing.
