Director: Nelson Dilipkumar
Cast: Sivakarthikeyan, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Vinay, Yogi Babu, and Archana Chandok
Ratings: 3.5/5 (three and a half stars)
Nelson, who made his directorial debut in Tamil cinema with the hit film Kolamavu Kokila, then directed Sivakarthik with Doctor. The film was released in theaters as a way out of the confusion of Odia Theater. His fans and Vijay fans eagerly waited for Sivakarthikeyan to become the director of their next movie as it is a highly anticipated movie. The Doctor movie will not disappoint their wait.
Doctor Movie Review: The story
dr. Varun (Sivakarthikeyan) in the army. He is in love with his girlfriend Padmini (Priyanka Arul Mohan). Unfortunately, not everything went as planned. They decided to break up. The story of Varun Doctor starts from the moment it breaks up when it is learned that Padmini’s younger sister has been kidnapped. How does Dr. Varun pick up the kidnapper and crack the giant abduction missile? Shown with interest.
Director Nelson told the story of the drug trade in his first film. In this second film, he writes the story of the kidnapping of a girl. It looks like Vijay will have a kidnapping story in his next movie Beast.
After that, the movie-going into top gear never stopped anywhere. The second hero in the Doctor movie is Ravi and Yogi Babu. Their online theater vibrates. In the second half, the villain Vinay is seen as a silent villain rather than an action villain. Priyanka Mohan will have a lot of filming opportunities in Tamil. Arun Alexander, Deepa, and Prince are uncomfortable in comedy. Anirudh’s background music takes any Chinese to the next level. The song Sellamma has been released on YouTube and will yield many records.
Nelson worked so hard for the film that Marty says no one but me can write and direct a story like this. Nelson is just as engrossed in the dark comedy genre as his previous film. The mistake that makes it easy for your claim to be rejected is to fail. Especially the subway fight scene and the scenes that come before the break are fantastic. All in all, this Doctor can build a new hospital in the rain of collections.
The first half crackles with humor, with comedic actor Kingsley leaving us in cracks along with his brash dialogue delivery. Nelson packs some comedy into the scenes so that even motion scenes have a dose of humor (try the one shot in a Metro prep compartment). Although he loses the plot to some extent in the second half, the standout array of characters he designed and their performances keep you invested until the very end.
Doctor Movie Review: performances
The Tamil hero Shiva Karthikeyan, who is close to the Telugu audience with his films ‘Remo,’ ‘Seema Raja,’ and ‘Shakthi,’ played admirably in his role. Gang leader heroine Priyanka was also impressed by her performance. Yogi Babu again entertains with his comedic timing. Nelson Dilip Kumar was brilliantly portrayed as a mass entertainer. The detective fame is as good as Vinay Roy. Unfortunately, Milind Soman and Raghu Ram’s performances don’t have much scope.
Doctor Movie Review: Technical aspects
The doctor is a movie directed by Nelson Dilip Kumara, who is working with Vijay on his upcoming ‘Beast.’ With this film, he showed his talent. Some scenes seemed routine. Anirudh’s music is good. The background score was perfect. The cinematography of Vijay Karthik is also good. Editing also gets good marks.
Doctor Movie Review: The Last Words
Despite a barely predictable second half, Doctor holds his thanks to the best way he uses humor to make any clichéd sequence feel genuinely recent. Yogi Babu, who often gets a small comedic role in movies, gets extended watch time here, and he’s excellent at his part. He keeps the film alive in a few of its extra bland parts with impeccable timing and deadpan expression. The fame of MTV Roadies Rajiv and Raghu Ram play key characters, making for fascinating casting decisions. Vinay shines once more as the delicate villain. Anirudh Ravichander’s music and score hold the film together every time it crashes.
