Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey has now been postponed from its original release date of 31st December. A remake of Nani starrer 2019 film by the same name, this Bollywood film has been one of the year’s most awaited films. The rising Omicron cases and restrictions imposed by various governments are cited as the reason for this postponement.
Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey makers released a statement earlier today announcing this decision. However, a new date was not mentioned in the report.
“Given the current circumstances and new covid guidelines, we have decided to postpone the theatrical release of our film Jersey. We have received immense love from you all so far, and thank you all for everything. Until then, please stay safe and healthy, and wishing you all the best for the new year ahead!! Team Jersey!! “
The actor first worked in ‘Arjun Reddy’ remake ‘Kabir Singh,’ which became a blockbuster and the highest grosser of his career. Now he is reprising the role of Nani in the remake of the 2019 superhit classic ‘Jersey.’
Mrunal Thakur is co-starring Shahid, while his father Pankaj Kapoor will play a vital role in this sports drama.
