Sony Photos released the first trailer for Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City which will mark the return of the Capcom-created franchise to the big screen. As the name suggests, the story takes us to Raccoon City, an emblematic city for video games, because that’s where the virus created by Umbrella started to spread the situation, shortly after it turned into a historical disaster for all humanity.
The feature film is directed and screenwriter by Johannes Roberts who has collaborated on Terror a 47 Meters, Storage 24 and Lucifer’s Legion, among others. The cast includes Avan Jogia (Leon S. Kennedy), Robbie Amell (Chris Redfield), Kaya Scodelario (Claire Redfield), Tom Hopper (Albert Wesker), Janna John-Kamen (Jill Valentine), Neal McDonough (William Birkin), and Marina Mazepa (Lisa Trevor). The premiere of Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City is scheduled for November 24.
