Potential And Possible Abilities Of Spider-Man’s New Black and Gold Sling Ring Suit.

Looks like Doctor Strange had quite the impact on Spider-Man in No Way Home. The trailer shows us Spidey’s black and gold sling ring suit in all its glory. And here are some of the potential skills the slingring suit offers that the trailer didn’t show you.

No Way Home’s New Sling Ring Suit

(PS: This list is based on pure speculation and made to the best of our knowledge from past MCU movies and shows that are considered precedent.)

Dimensional Transport

Enter the Multi-Verse

The sling rings that first debuted in Doctor Strange possess the ability to transport people and objects. And this transport can be spatial, as we said, and also interdimensional. The sling rings are in fact a means of generating portals. A portal bends space-time to create a path to whole new worlds, sometimes in different realities. As of now, only the spatial displacement ability within the same universe has been shown in the movies. Spider-Man: No Way Home will capitalize heavily on the Multi-Verse aspect. So there’s really no telling whether Strange would deny Spider-Man access to different universes through the slingring suit.

Mysterious webbing capability

The slingring suit also has a few spells attached to the wrist area. The suit can give Spider-Man access to a new form of webbing. While the theory is that the slingring suit opens portals to the Multiversal plane connecting the entire universe, Peter must still have some way of swinging around there. Perhaps that’s where the webbing ability comes in handy. Also, given the mysterious nature of the web, we’re sure it will never run out like its conventional liquid-powered web shooters.

Sling Ring Portals

A wizard under Kamar-Taj learns the ability of teleportation as a basic skill before progressing to more advanced levels of magic. Doctor Strange was pushed into Mount Everest’s submissions by The Ancient One to force him to master the sling ring. The slingring suit can also help and come in handy for Spider-Man. Doctor Strange’s teleportation powers were instrumental in the Battle On Titan and the Endgame Battle Of Earth. Spider-Man could gain some serious firepower by using the portals to run circles around the Sinister Six. The sling ring suit could let him use some formidable hit-and-run tactics through his teleportation abilities.

Magical Enhanced Durability

We’ve seen in MCU’s What If… series that Doctor Strange is able to cast protection spells to increase not only his but also the durability of his allies. Those spells greatly increase a person’s ability to withstand unbearable damage. Even Ultron, who had all the Infinity Stones in his possession, struggled to defeat the Guardians of the Multiverse thanks to the protection spells. A similar set of spells could be used anywhere in the Spider-Man slingring suit. Suit durability may have been immeasurably improved.

Spatial or even interdimensional locking

Spatial Locking Capabilities

Doctor Strange was able to locate creatures hundreds of light years away and open a portal to bring them in. In Endgame, he brought back heroes who returned in The Blip, not only from Wakanda, hundreds of miles away, but also from Titan, a planet far away in a corner of the galaxy. If this is another ability the slingring ring grants, Spider-Man can also access it through his new slingring suit. It’s a handy feature that can help him locate the exact universes where heroes like Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man are that he could recruit to help him in his fight.

Mystically enhanced strength and speed

Improved Physical Features

Obviously, Doctor Strange would have made sure the suit has some conventional power upgrades. Spider-Man’s Iron Spider armor had many such deadly features that gave Spider-Man an edge in Endgame. The slingring suit can have magical energy flowing through it, adding to Spider-Man’s already impressive power. It can even give his other physical attributes, such as speed and reflexes, a much-needed boost.

Possible access to other devastatingly powerful magic spells

Other powers?

In other MCU shows and movies, it has been proven that a spell can be cast and kept on hold as a backup. Even if Strange isn’t there to activate it, certain conditions can be met to activate it anyway. For example, Strange has caught Dormammu in a time loop. Despite his death, he was still able to come back from the dead, as the stone had a spell that reset time the moment Strange died. Likewise, Strange could have cast some backup spells in the slingring suit. These spells would be like hidden features that will show up when Spider-Man needs them the most.
