The standards which were set by the film during the pre-release period didn’t seem to be converting into revenue. The film is not truly living up to the expectations and the same can be experienced in the collection figures.
Panga depicts the struggles of a Kabbadi player. Jaya Nigam who at her days was the captain of the Indian National Kabaddi team is now a mother of a child and is stuck in household chores.
The film shows her stern determination to make a comeback to the national side.
The film has Kangana Ranaut as Jaya Nigam. Jassi Gill playing Prashant Shrivastava. Richa Chadda playing Meenu the coach. Neena Gupta as Jaya’s Mother.
Box Office Collections Of Panga
The film made a lukewarm opening with ₹ 2.70 Cr as the day one collection. The expectations were high, nevertheless, it was a decent performance.
The film bounced back strongly to amass 4.5 crores on day 2. This takes the combined total of 2 days to 7.2 crores.
The worldwide total is close to ₹ 10.40 crores with an overseas collection of 2.2 crores.
By no means, we can call it a poor or even a below-average performance the film has made its presence felt at the box office and it is still the opening days.
The weekend will surely give the much-needed boost to the collection of the film. As such films that serve a healthy social message need to be given appreciation.
