Ormayil Oru Shishiram Movie Review And Rating | Deepak Parambol, Vivek Aryan

‘Ormayil Oru Shishiram’ is a nostalgic story talking about ‘First Love’. This basic theme makes it clear that it will be a well relatable movie for everyone. It pictures a love story that happened before the ‘Smartphone age’.

The movie premieres Deepak Parambol in the lead role which is directed by Vivek Aryan who is a debutant. This is the fourth movie from Maqtro Pictures after Sunday Holiday, Saira Bhanu and Btech. Kannur University Winner of Arts Anaswara is the lead actress. Eldho Mathew and Sam who debuted in the hit Malayalam movie Queen, James who is famous from Comedy Ulsavam TV show are attractions in the cast. Ashokan, Neena Kurup, Alencier, Parvathy, Sreejith Ravi, Kottayam Pradeep, Irshad, are the other prominent cast members.

For the story written by N. R. Vishnuraj Shiva Prasad and Appu Sreenivas made the Screenplay. Arun James did the Coreography and Abhilash Balachandran had done the editing. Ranjin Raj has done music for the lines by B.K Harinarayanan and Manu Renjith.

The release date has been pushed back a couple of times before fixing on tomorrow, August 2. The release date was previously postponed to July 19 from another date. The promo of the song ‘Kai Neetti Aaro’ was launched in February this year.

“My attempt has been to present audiences with a movie that invokes the power of pure first love and the nostalgia associated with that feeling,” Director Vivek said to a news report. He also thanked Jithu Joseph who is famous for his movie Drishyam which was remade into many other languages.

According to Vishnu, Jithu was a great mentor and had let him work on the movie alongside him providing him with the experience to make a movie like this. “It will be an unusually beautiful story,” says Vivek.

Review Of Ormayil Oru Shishiram

The film starts off in a school revolving around a bunch of schoolboys. Once the environment and characters are established, you will realize that the film is going to be a love story of a boy and a girl.

Along with all these aspects, the love story the director Vivek Aryan deals with is also the first love of the character. The way he dealt with the characters and the story is really beautiful to watch.

Music of Ranjin Raj is soulful. Cinematographer Arun James did a great job in bringing the vision of Vivek Aryan on to the screen. Though the film’s story is little offbeat, the realness in the characters makes you forget all that and just enjoy the film. So congratulations to the team of Ormayil Oru Shishiram on delivering a soulful film.
