Mohanlal’s Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham Release Date Postponed – Check Out The New Release Date

Priyadarshan’s Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham (also known as Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea) is an upcoming Indian Malayalam language epic historical war film. The film is set in the 16th century and narrates Kunjali Marakkar IV, the naval commander of the Zamorin of Calicut, who is credited with protecting the Malabar Coast from Portuguese invasion.

Manju Warrier, Suniel Shetty, Arjun Sarja, and Prabhu star in the film, renowned filmmaker Priyadarshan directs. The movie that was set to release in Theatres on May 13 has been postponed. However, there’s a new release date!!

Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham To Release On August 12

Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham will now release on August 12 in cinemas worldwide!! The Malayalam superstar tweeted announced the film’s new release date grandly, releasing a kickass poster.

Marakkar Lion of the Arabian Sea, directed by Priyadarshan and Mohanlal and starring a large ensemble cast, was the big-budget release in Kerala. The film follows the life of Kunjali Marakkar IV, the chief naval captain of the Zamorin of Calicut (now known as Kozhikode), who is played by Mohanlal and is based on the 16th-century warrior who organized the country’s first naval force to combat the Portuguese invasion.

According to distributors in the industry, after reopening the theatres, the release priority would be for March releases, based on initial discussions with producers. It’s unclear if other film industries will follow India’s lead and close theatres as the coronavirus spreads.

Since it is well-made, the film is one that we will all be proud of. It is dedicated to the Indian Navy and describes Kunjali Marakkar, who is considered India’s first naval commander. The production values are higher than in other Malayalam films.
