Meghan Markle and Prince Harry recently graced the cover of Time magazine after it was announced they were listed in the list of 100 most influential people in the world.
Many people noted that the cover was published the day Meghan’s sister, Catherine, the Duchess, visited RAF Brize Norton to meet British troops who helped with the evacuation from Afghanistan.
Ex-I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! star Lady Campbell was outspoken against Meghan and Prince Harry. After some claimed that the publication date of the magazine cover was manipulated, Lady Colin Campbell, a former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star, has now stood by Meghan Markle, 36, and Prince Harry, 38.
Lady C, 72, whose real name is Georgia Arianna said: “In fairness to Meghan and Harry, the timing of the Time piece really is nothing to do with them.
“Yes, Harry and Meghan do compete and try to squash the attention that all of the other members of The Royal Family gets but in this instance, I think we would be unfair to actually blame them.”
She went on to add: “They had nothing to do with the scheduling of the magazine, so in fairness to them, I will have to say I don’t think in all honesty that they were trying to rain on Catherine’s parade.
“Nor do I think that Time magazine is actually going to be coordinating its schedule to see when they can step on Catherine’s toes.”
The aristocrat continued: “That they were able yet again to step on another working royal’s toes is what I would call an accidental act.
“But that’s part of the problem with the whole scenario, Harry and Meghan or anything to do with them is so excessive.”
Lady C added that for Harry and Meghan it is “virtually impossible to not step on anybody else’s toes” before claiming that Meghan was jealous of Catherine.
However, she added that we have to “absolve” Meghan of “guilt”.
Along with Marcus Rashford, Dua Lipa, and TikTok’s Charlie D’Amelio, Harry and Meghan were included on this prestigious list.
Describing the couple, the list said: “In a world where everyone has an opinion about people they don’t know, the Duke and Duchess have compassion for the people they don’t know.
“They don’t just opine, they run toward the struggle.”
