Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Pandey starrer Liger have reached Day 6 of its run at the box office. The film was released on 25th August and had been running at low occupancy due to the lousy talk the film received from day 1.
The film, written and directed by Puri Jagannadh, has opened to primarily below-par reviews and ratings from film reviewers and the general audience. Though the film had a good opening, it failed to maintain occupancy due to the talk it received.
Liger 5 Days Box Office Collections
In the first five days of its release, the film collected 59.3 Crore gross (27.41 Crore share). Of this number, 28.1 crores were collected from day 1 of the release. In the first three days, the film collected 36.6 crores gross worldwide.
The film even had a decent run on the weekend, but the collections dropped to 3.1 crores gross on Monday, which was expected to happen. As a result, the film must collect a total of 165 crores gross to break even.
Liger Day 6 Box Office Collections
On day 6, Tuesday, the film is expected to show similar trends as Monday; the film will see a further decline in its box office numbers as it is a weekday. The film is expected to collect around 2.3 crores worldwide on day 6.
Going into a week without public holidays, the film is expected to continue its rough run in the theaters without any peaks. Going by the numbers, the chance of Liger getting breakeven at this point looks very bleak. Considering this as a gone case, The combo of Puri Jagannadh and Vijay Deverakonda will be looking to come back stronger with their next film, ‘Jana Gana Mana.’
