Khandaani Shafakhana Movie Review And Rating | Sonakshi Sinha, Varun Sharma

The Sonakshi Sinha and Varun Sharma starrer ‘Khandaani Shafakhana’ has finally hit the screens. Right from the release of its trailer, the film got a lot of hype from the general audience. The film is directed by Shilpi Dasgupta.

Written by Gautam Mehra, the film runs around a character called Babita ‘Baby’ Bedi who runs a sex clinic which she inherited from her Uncle. The rest of the film is on how he runs the clinic and handles the taboos associated with sex.

The film stars Sonakshi Sinha, Varun Sharma, Annu Kapoor, Badshah, Priyanshu Jora, and many other new faces. It’s going to be an out n out comedy entertainer with lots of fun and exciting scenes.

The songs are composed by Tanishk Bagchi, Rochak Kohli, Badshah, and Payal Dev. The background score is given by Abhishek Nailwal. The film’s album is already gaining so many views and plays on YouTube and music apps.

Khandaani Shafakhana was released on June 21st and as I’m writing this, it has over 16 million views with over 152k likes. So we can say that film has reached to the audience and they are likely to check it out.

Considering the previous work of Sonakshi Sinha, Kalank, being a flop, the success of this movie is very crucial for her. Not only for her, even the director who is coming with this film after a long time. So is the film entertaining enough? Did it impress the audience? Let us know

Review Of Khandaani Shafakhana

Every inch of the film has a comedic sense. The film starts on a funny note, where the character Babita Baby Bedi has to take over her uncle’s ‘Khandaani Shafakhana’ and run it for 6 months before she can sell it off.

The film progresses as the character starts off running the clinic. Most of the scenes and in fact the whole movie is about how she manages to deal with the taboos associated with sex. The film is set in the small town of Hoshiyarpur in Punjab which adds up to making the film funnier.

Though the film has so many funny and beautiful scenes, the film lags a bit throughout. A crispier screenplay would have helped the film so much. However, the performances of the characters make you forget about the film’s length. Sonakshi, Varun and all other supporting characters have given great performances.

All in all, its all fun and lovely film. Though it’s dealing with an age-old problem, the film comes out as fresh and refreshing as it can get. Would like to congratulate the team of Khandaani Shafakhana on making a good film
