NTA (National Testing Agency) will conduct NEET 2020 (National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test –Undergraduate Exam for MBBS Admission) on May 03, 2020 (Sunday). NTA will hold NEET 2020 once a year only, in offline mode. It is a national level entrance exam for admission in MBBS/BDS courses, in all MCI (Medical Council of India) / DCI (Dental Council of India) approved colleges in India. NEET eligibility is mandatory for AYUSH courses too. Candidates seeking admission in undergraduate (UG) courses in Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) will have to qualify NEET exam. The Ministry of AYUSH has implemented the same from 2019-20 academic session. In this total of 77,178 MBBS seats available. According to DCI, For BDS Course, 313 Government and Private Dental medical colleges functioning in India. In this total of 26,949 BDS seats available. NEET 2020 exam pattern: NEET is a three-hour long exam which includes three sections – physics, chemistry and biology Of the total 180 questions, 90 would be from biology and 45 each from physics and chemistry Every correct answer would get plus four marks and every incorrect answer results in a negative mark (-1) Total Marks -720. Due to Heavy competition, students must score 550+ in this competitive exam to get into the Government Colleges. Preparation syllabus includes the whole of class 11 and 12 standard NCERT textbooks in the respective subjects. Questions that are not attempted do not have any penalty marks. Preparation strategy. The exam date is announced and there is only 6 months preparation time left for the aspirants who are targeting NEET 2020. So they need proper study plan and time management along with some self-discipline. Once they completely finished reading the 11th & 12th NCERT books and get prepared with its concepts & fundamentals, they can start some test practices like – Topic-wise, Chapter-wise, Unit –wise & subject –wise. Once they practiced these kinds of Tests, then they can go for full mock tests. In each test, they should maintain the score and improve their Time plan & strategy for each test and also be cautious on negative marks. After finishing all your test practices, finalize your strategy, Time Management, speed and accuracy. For students who are doing their +2, they have less time compare to full time Medical Aspirants. So they need to prepare the study plan according to their school time. In the upcoming days, they have Half-yearly exams, Public Practical exams and final Public exams in December 2019, February and March 2020 respectively. If you leave these months for your school exams preparation, you have hardly 100 days for your preparation.
