Fox Renews ‘The Big Leap’ & ‘Our Kind of People’ For New Short Seasons

As suggested by Fox’s midseason schedule, neither The big jump nor Our kind of people receives additional delivery orders. Instead, they’ll be packing their freshman runs sooner, the fate of their renewal will be decided in the spring.

Sources tell TVLine that since both of their freshman shows are in series, they were always on track to have finite freshman runs and so didn’t expect “back nine” orders or anything like that. Per our sister site Deadline, The big jump will air 11 episodes while Our kind of people runs for nine.

The big jump episode eight airs tonight at 9/8c, while Our kind of people airs Episode 6 this Tuesday at 9pm.

Season so far, The big jump averages 1.3 million total viewers, along with a demo score of 0.24 (in Live+Same Day songs), finishing last on both counts of all scripted Fox rates. OKOP, with an average of almost 1.5 million and higher than a demo score of 0.3, comes a slot higher.

According to Fox’s mid-season plan, the freshman drama the cleaning lady will claim The big jump Monday-at-9 timeslot effective January 3, where it will lead to 9-1-1: Lonely Star Season 3.

The new foam of country music Monarch from February 1 will lead out The inhabitant on Tuesday, good luck Our kind of people.
