Soap star Mark Jordon is best known for playing café waiter Daz Spencer in Emmerdale, but he actually has a rather famous ex-wife who is no stranger to the screen herself.
The 56-year-old actor joined Emmerdale’s cast as a regular cast member in August 2017. He was there until Daz was killed on January 31, 2019.
He is also well-known for his role in the TV series Heartbeat as PC Phil Bellamy.
Mark’s ex-wife, however, is a well-known actress in her own right. She’s had starring roles on shows such as Benidorm or Happy Valley.
It’s possible to forget that Jordon was once married to Siobhan Finneran.
They wed in 1997 but divorced in 2014 and the pair share two children together, Joseph and Poppy.
Finneran played Janice Garvey, a leading character in the first seven series of ITV sitcom Benidorm between 2007–2015 – which focused on a group of holiday makers in Benidorm, Spain.
Siobhan also had a major TV show credit, as she was a servant in Downton Abbey, starring alongside Harry Potter’s legend Maggie Smith.
For her work as a recovering addict in Happy Valley, the 55-year-old actress was nominated for the 2017 British Academy Television Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Siobhan Finneran was also a lawyer in Unforgiven (2009).
Siobhan played Mrs Swift in The Selfish Giant (2013). It was a short story by Oscar Wilde.
Her role as Mrs Swift was a critical success and she received a nomination for the British Independent Film Award.
She even managed brief soap stints which included Mark’s soap Emmerdale in 1996, as well as Coronation Street between 1989 and 1990.
Emmerdale actress Laura Norton, Mark’s current girlfriend, announced that they were expecting their first baby on August 21, 2020.
Jesse Norton was born to Norton on January 29, 2021.
