Much of the hype to this came after the release of its trailer. More than the positive comments, the trolling that Anand Deverakonda has faced was little more than he could handle. That is what his brother Vijay Devarakonda has said, that he wants him to face criticism on his own. And he wants him to see the ups and downs of an actor.
However, directors from the industry including Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Praveen Sattaru, Venu Udugula, Goutham Thinnanuri, Prashanth Varma and Ajay Bhupathi have given positive reviews to the film. Being distributes by Suresh Productions, the audience will be interested to check it out as Suresh Productions is known for representing only quality content.
The trailer of the movie was released on June 30, 2019, and it has already crossed 2.1 million views by the time I’m writing this. The film got a U/A certificate from the censor board. The film is said to be having a runtime of 138 minutes.
Dorasani (Dorasaani) Movie Review:
The film starts as a love story right from the first frame. Writing and Direction of KVR Mahendra are applaudable. Both the lead actors Anand Devarakonda and Shivathmika Rajashekar being first-timers did a great job.
Both the leaders never make you feel like you are watching two debutants on screens. After a while, you forget that you are watching a film starring Vijay Deverakonda’s brother and Rajashekar’s daughter, you will just see the character, Raju and Devki.
The story of the film is too deep. Staged and Rooted in a village at the times of 1960-70s, the film perfectly portrays the caste inequalities of those times. The climax of the movie is heart touching. The characters are real, the actors lived it to make it believable.
Music and background is the main asset of the film. The unique background score gives real true love story feel. The cinematography feels genuine. All the scenes are natural and raw. Even the side artists did a good job. The art direction is good enough to make you feel that you are watching a story from the past.
So overall, Dorasaani is a great debut for the actors. Its a genuine attempt by KVR Mahendra which should be appreciated by the audience. I think this film will work. Wishing the best to the team of Dorasaani.
- Music and background score
- Some unnecessary scenes
