Dee Dee Warwick used to be accused of assaulting Whitney Houston, as well as Dionne Warwick, the late singer’s sister, has stated that she will never pardon those who made the allegations.
A self-titled Whitney Houston documentary reveals a surprising revelation made by her very personal assistant, Marie Jones. She said the singer was assaulted by her own cousin, Dee Dee Warwick, Dionne Warwick’s sister.
Defending Her Late Sister
During the interview, Dionne couldn’t help but be angry at individuals who accused her late sister of such a thing.
On Dionne’s Side
In an attempt to clear Dee Dee’s name, Whitney’s mother, Cissy Houston, issued a statement on Dionne’s behalf, stating that the assistant had wrongfully implicated Dee Dee.
She stated in a statement that it’s not possible that Whitney or Dee Dee is available to dispute, rebut, or confirm the allegations. She went on to state that she, Dionne, and his son Michael are likewise unable to comment on the claim because they had never heard anything like it before.

Breaking Her Silence
Similarly, Dionne chose to speak out about the charges while admitting that she had previously tried to avoid responding to anything linked to the matter. She, on the other hand, has had enough and has decided that it is “absolutely hogwash.”
Dionne’s Rise To Fame
Dionne, who was born Marie Dionne Warwick on December 12, 1940, has had a long career as a singer. Although she began singing in the 1960s, some of her biggest songs came later in her career, in the 1980s.
She then worked on songs such as “Friends In Love,” “Heart Breaker,” and the number one single “That’s What Friends Are For.” Her career was not without flaws, as she was suspected of failing to pay $10 million in taxes.
Dionne’s Life Updates
Dionne declared bankruptcy in 2013, stating she had only $1000 in cash and $1500 in personal property. She recently organized a virtual birthday fiesta for her 80th birthday in December 2020, and she is currently working on a documentary about her life called “Don’t Make Me Over.”
When asked where she gets the energy to perform at her age, Dionne says it comes from her passion for what she does. She also revealed that she refers to her hits as “babies” and that she still enjoys singing them all.
