Huw Edwards just tweeted his name, and it’s unbelievable.
BBC Presenter follows in footsteps of Ed Balls the former chancellor by tapping his name and pressing send. It is possible that he was trying to find himself accidentally, but who knows.
Because of Balls, the tweet is obviously funny. He was a Labour MP who tweeted his name 10+ years ago. Since then, Ed Balls day has been celebrated every year on the 28th of April. Balls celebrates the occasion by baking cakes.
Edwards, a journalist should know a lot about the gaffe. He should also know how to use Twitter. Perhaps he’s done it completely intentionally, or in a bid to become as Twitter famous as Balls.
Either way, the fact that he’s done it at all still had people in hysterics:

Balls has not yet commented on the incident. It remains to be determined if Balls will welcome Edwards into his clan of internet cheugsters, or if he feels Edwards is encroaching upon his territory. We will not know for sure if Edwards’s tweeting anniversary becomes as important as Christmas.
Regardless, you might say it’s a Huwge Balls up for all involved…
