Fans of Vijay Deverakonda are eagerly waiting for this movie. The last release from Vijay was Taxiwaala from November last year. So they are all up and excited for this one.
Shot in Kakinada and some other locations, Dear Comrade looks beautiful and fresh. Thanks to the talented cinematographer Sujith Sarang. The music of the film is composed by Justin Prabhakaran. The songs of the movie are gaining huge views on YouTube.
The film was released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. Considering the screens and expectations, this is going to be a huge release. There has to be a lot of tension among makers. This is a big one for Vijay Deverakonda and debut director Bharat Kamma.
Halfway through the shooting of the film, the makers found out that, the female is Kannadiga, their music director is from Tamil Nadu and their cinematographer is Malayali. So they thought of releasing the movie in multiple languages and pitched this idea to the producers. The producers agreed and made the budget of the movie even more.
So it’s not only important for the actors and director, even the producers want this to be a success. ok, so how did the movie turn out to be? Did it reach the audience expectations? Let’s find out.
Dear Comrade Movie Review and Rating
The film starts with the Bobby character who lives in Kakinada. He is part of a student union. He is seen getting into fights for his friend’s girlfriend who is harassed by a man. After a few minutes, Rashmika, who is a relative of Bobby’s is introduced into the movie.
Bobby and Lilly get together and the real story starts. After a few days, Bobby proposes his love for Lilly. Due to different reasons, Lilly leaves to Hyderabad where she has to perceive her cricket coaching.
After Billy visits Lilly again, Lilly accepts him and the love story starts. After a few scenes, Lilly notices that Bobby gets into unnecessary fights and asks him to choose between her and the fight. Bobby chooses his union and Lilly leaves him. Interval.
In the second half, the film takes twists and turns. There is a conflict between Lilly and her coach in the coaching academy. How Bobby and Lilly fight with this is the rest of the story.
What an impressive debut from Bharat Kamma. He managed to handle all the aspects of the story perfectly. Few minutes into the movie, you will find out that everyone is fighting for something. Bobby for his college, Lilly for her Cricket career and many more battles. This justifies the tag line of the movie ‘Fight for what you love.’
The story and performance are what keep this movie deeply rooted and engaging. The film moves from genre to genre but still keep you all thrilled. The emotions of the character are perfectly shown.
And finally, the love story between Bobby and Lilly, this love story will be one the most unique and most loved of recent times. The chemistry is superb. It’s a treat to watch Rashmika and Vijay in their characters. The relation between Bobby and Lilly is what the movie is all about.
The music of the film was a symphony to the audience and the story. The film leaves with a beautiful message. The vision of Bharat Kamma is perfectly handled by cinematographer Sujith Sarang and the D.I and editing by Sreejit Sarang should also be appreciated. So the Sarang Brothers added a great value to the film.
My Rating: 3.75/5

The film has two different and good stories clubbed into one…and I felt the synergy between the two wasn’t seamless enough. The pacing is a matter of debate..but there is a lot going on in this film #DearComrade
