Superstar Rajinikanth is back with darbar again after Petta for Pongal. Darbar is expected to perform well at the box-office for all the languages. Here are the 1st-day collections of darbar.

Darbar may earn around 40 Cr on its first day. The film got released in 4 languages- Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi. So, the film got huge collections from different parts of the country.

Considering the film, the film was opened well and received a satisfactory talk by fans. Though some critics complained about screenplay and story, the film is said that it is for Rajinikanth fans just like ‘Petta’ which was released one year back.

With the weekend ahead, this film is expected to collect 100 Cr on its first weekend. Also, the festival ‘Pongal’ is incoming and this factor can easily help the film to earn more numbers. So, according to critics, this film can run for 5-6 weeks without any major problem. Also, no other big films are getting released until the of January. So Darbar can get better collections in its first week till Dhanush’s Pattas gets released.

But, the film may get affected by some other big films releasing along with Darbar of which some are ‘Chaapak’, ‘Tanhaji’, ‘Sarileru Neekevaru’, ‘Ala Vaikuntapuramlo’ and many more.

Darbar is written and directed by A.R. Murugadoss which stars Rajinikanth, Nayanthara, Nivetha Thomas, and Sunil Shetty in lead roles. Superstar Rajinikanth will be seen as a police officer named Aadithya Arunachalam in this film. The film shows a cop who is assigned to solve the case of gangsters.

Darbar is produced by Allirajah Subaskaran under the banner ‘Lyca Productions’. Rajinikanth is working with Lyca Productions again after 2.0 which was released in 2019. The film ‘2.0’ got around 600 Cr.

The music of the film was composed by Anirudh Ravichandar, the cinematography was handled by Santosh Sivan and got edited by A. Sreekar Prasad. The film got a U/A certification with a runtime of 151 minutes.
