The Second Season of India’s only unscripted Comedy Reality Show is coming to an end this month. It has been aired Exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on every Fridays. This time the presence of famous comedian Zakir Khan in Comicstaan’s judging panel has already added more flavor to this popular show. According to Amazon, the previous season of the show created an uproar when it became the most streamed ‘Prime Originals’ in India as a real stand-up comedy hunt show.
The Second Season Finale will stream on Prime Video by August 16. Neeti Palta, a prominent member of the seven in the judging panel observed that this season marked the more “up to the format” portrayal of comedy with the premium standard.
Writing new materials for the show each week, which should be dealing with the themes already decided by the show, and working with a team where very stressful for the comedians who had only worked solo before.
It was on August 9 the announcement of the five finalists was made. Now, these contestants will have to compete with each other to become the season 2 winner. The winner will get a cash prize of 10 Lakh Rupees. According to this season algorithm, all the five finalists are winners in a sense, no pun intended.
This is said because they had reached this level in the show because of the outstanding comic skills and last season the five finalists were hired by many agencies providing them with enough work. That is what most of the comedians aim for by participating in such talent reality shows more than the price amount. Which gives the capability to get more shows in different cities by gaining more reachability and popularity.
The platform has provided proper mentorship for the contestants with the highly skilled judges and gave a thoroughly entertaining TV show for the Indian Audience.
