Chal Mera Putt Movie Review And Rating | Amrinder Gill, Simi Chahal

Chal Mera Putt is a comedy-drama directed by Janjot Singh and co-produced by Gillz Network, Rhythm Boyz Entertainment, and Omjee Star Studios. It stars Simi Chahal and Amrinder Gill as leads with Nasir Chinyoti, Iftikhar Thakur, Akram Udas, Gurshabad and Hardeep Gill in supporting roles. The film revolves around a bunch of Punjabis trying real hard to make their living in a foreign land.

Written by Rakesh Dhawan and directed by debutant Janjot Singh, the film was shot in Birmingham during May and June of 2019. The soundtrack of the film and its background score have been done by Gurcharan Singh along with Dr. Zeus while lyricists include Bir Singh, Harmanjeet, Bunty Bains and Satta Vairowalia.

Chal Mera Putt was announced by Amrinder Gill during an interview with BBC in May 2019 and it is slated for release on July 26. Despite Indian films being banned in Pakistan, Chal Mera Putt was only censored as Iftikhar Thakur, a Pakistani native happens to be one of the producers of the film.

Gill released the first look poster on his social media handles on June 24 whereas the second poster was released on July 7 with Gill being featured on it alongside Simi Chahal. The trailer featuring both actors was also well received by audiences, being viewed approximately one million times within a few hours of its release.

The first song Badla De Kalie was voiced by Amrinder Gill and Nimrat Khaira and released on July 21. Three days later, the title song of the film was released, sung by Gill and Gurshabad. A day later on July 25, a third song titled Aaban De Aaban was released. This song, which highlights the struggles of Indian girls in a foreign land, was sung once again by Gill.

Review Of Chal Mera Putt

Chal Mera Putt is a light-hearted comedy-drama film. The film revolves around a group of illegal immigrants living in the city of Birmingham. There are very few serious and unfortunate scenes in the movie, other than that, its all fun.

Comedy runs through the whole film. And the comedy comes in all shapes and sizes. Satirical comedy, comedy of errors, and much more. The characters in the movie are so fun-loving and interesting.

The storyline is very catchy it keeps you excited. Other than that, it’s a typical Punjabi comedy film. The background score is great thanks to music directors Dr. Zeus and Gurcharan Singh. And songs are nice to hear.

All in all, it’s a good family entertainer, if you love watching comedy films, then this one is for you. Do watch this in theatres near you.
