Calls is an American-French Streaming television series based on the French series with the same name. The English version is adapted by Fede Alvarez and is co-produced by Apple TV+ and French network Canal+. It premiered on Apple TV+ on March 19, 2021.
This show represents the story uniquely through interconnected phone conversations. The story is taken forward with these conversations and keeps the audience at the edge of their seats. Besides, with the limited visuals on offer, it puts the audience in place to imagine the visual representation of the scenes all the time.
This unique way of story-telling opted by the show makers makes it a fantastic experience to have.
Calls Season 2 Release Date
All nine episodes of the first season are premiered on the same day, 19 March 2021, on Apple TV+ and all of them have a running time between 12 and 20 minutes each.
No official confirmation has been provided by either the makers or the streaming service regarding the following season. Still, we don’t think the series can’t be cut short with a single season with its ability to attract a unique set of people.
Calls Season 2 Cast
The series has come up with a star-studded voice for the first season, and it isn’t very sure to see the returning voices unless the team sticks to the same characters, and that doesn’t seem to be the case. If the team decides to go with fresh voices for the next one, we might get to listen to a set of new voices and characters.
Calls Season 2 Plot: What To Expect?
The director had called this series an experiment which explains that there can be more to follow depending upon the promising success of the experiment. And if the Apple TV+ renews it, the next one could come up with a set of new experimental episodes but with the same theme.
So, till the Apple TV+ renews the show’s status, sit back and try to imagine the set of visuals in your head with the phone conversations of the first season.
