Netflix’s Bridgerton landed on Netflix just when we needed it. The Netflix series is based on the first of eight best-selling books by Julia Quinn. It means creator and showrunner Chris Van Dusen already has material ready and waiting to be adapted.

Bridgerton Season 2: Cast and Plot!
The cast began filming the second season in the spring of 2021 and completed its production in November. Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon Bassett (Regé-Jean Page) will no longer be the show’s main characters. Now that their conflict is resolved and they’re happily making babies at Clevedon Castle. Nevertheless, Dynevor will return to the role of Daphne as a supporting player in her older brother’s love story.
Jonathan Bailey (Anthony Bridgerton) will be the main star of the second season, alongside Simone Ashley as his potential bride (Kate Sharma). The role of Edwina Sharma, Kate’s sister who also plays a key role in Anthony’s love story, will be played by newcomer Charithra Chandran.
The first season was inspired by Quinn’s first book, ‘The Duke and I’. It focuses on the relationship between Simon Basset and the eldest Bridgerton sibling Daphne Bridgerton. Meanwhile, the second book, ‘The Viscount Who Loved Me’, turns to London’s most eligible bachelor Anthony Bridgerton and his relationship with a woman called Edwina.
Bridgerton Season 2: Trailer and Release date!
At the end of September 2021, Netflix released the first teaser trailer for season two, and what a teaser it is. In the clip, Anthony is arguing with one of the new cast members, Kate, over his “many requirements for a wife.”
Bridgerton season 2 will release on Netflix on Friday 25th March 2022.
The announcement came out on Christmas Day via a casting video that included lead stars Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley.
