Armenian Eurovision star Hayko has tragically died aged just 48 from Covid-19.
On Wednesday, September 29, the Yerevan State Medical University chief of staff confirmed that Hayko had died from Covid-19.
According to the Public Radio of Armenia, the star had been “in a grave condition” since September 21.
He rose to stardom when he sang Anytime You Need in his native country’s Eurovision Song Contest 2007 performance.
This was the first Eurovision entry to feature the Armenian language.
His rich career also saw him receive a variety of musical awards, including Best Singer and Armenian National Music Awards for 2003 and 2006.
