Annaatthe, an upcoming Indian Tamil-language action drama film, will be written and directed by Siva and will be produced by Kalanithi Maran under the banner Sun Pictures. The film is one of the most-awaited Tamil films of the year 2020.

The film features Rajinikanth, Meena, Kushboo, Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Prakash Raj, Soori, Sathish and Vela Ramamoorthy in the lead roles. While the music for the film will be composed by D. Imman, the cinematography and editing will be handled by Vetri and Ruben respectively.
The project is highly anticipated as it marks the first collaboration of Rajinikanth with director Siva. At present, the shooting of the film has been put on halt due to 21 days lockdown across the whole country. According to the reports, the release of the film Annaatthe has been postponed once again.
Earlier, it was planned that the film Annaatthe will hit the big screens in the month of August 2020, as a Vinayaka Chathurthi special release. Later, after the shooting was delayed due to the corona virus threat, the release of the film Annaatthe was postponed to the month of October 2020, to be released for the Pooja season of the year 2020.
Now, the release of the film Annaatthe has been again postponed to the third week of the month of November 2020, as a Deepavali special release. As per the latest reports, the release of the film has been postponed for the second time.
