The Andhra Pradesh government, headed by CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, has permitted the cinema halls to operate with 100 percent capacity from Thursday (tomorrow).
Amid the steady decline in Covid-19 cases, the government eased the curbs on film theatres and allowed the exhibitors to run entirely while adhering to COVID norms.
For some time now, the filmmakers from Tollywood have been urging the state government to allow theatres to work with 100 percent occupancy. In this context, Tollywood is a significant relief to release the flicks in the coming days. Notably, the Telangana state government has been allowing 100 percent seating since June.
It is worthy of mentioning that many medium-budget films have announced their release dates for the upcoming festival season. AP government’s latest decision on 100 percent capacity will surely help filmmakers enter into profit zones.
