According to reports, the film collected over Rs 50 crore at the box office worldwide. In Tamil Nadu, Pushpa: The Rise earned Rs 4.06 crore on its opening day. Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa follows the story of Pushpa Raj, a red sandalwood smuggler. Initially, the film was supposed to release on Christmas. Then, however, the film’s release was pushed ahead by a week to avoid a clash with Ranveer Singh’s 83 at the box office. According to trackers, Pushpa has collected over Rs 50 crore.
