Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise, released in cinemas on December 17, took a monstrous opening at the box office. According to reports, the film collected over Rs 50 crore at the box office worldwide. In Tamil Nadu, Pushpa: The Rise earned Rs 4.06 crore on its opening day. Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa follows the story of Pushpa Raj, a red sandalwood smuggler.

The first part, Pushpa: The Rise, has received mixed reactions from the public and critics. Initially, the film was supposed to release on Christmas. Then, however, the film’s release was pushed ahead by a week to avoid a clash with Ranveer Singh’s 83 at the box office.
According to trackers, Pushpa has collected over Rs 50 crore. Trade analyst LM Kaushik collected Rs 11.45 crore in Nizam and wrote, “AAll Time Record alert! @alluarjun creates a box office storm in NIZAM (Telangana) with #PushpaTheRise, which registered a record-breaking first-ever double-digit Day1 share of 11.45 CR share (16.5 CR gross) in the territory’s history. #ThaggedheLe #AlluArjun (sic).”
